Shutdown 2002-2003: http://cern.ch/lindroos/isolde/shutdown/shutdown2003-overview.mpp
1. Separators in off-line mode:
a. Problems with an asymmetric power fault on the GPS high voltage platform. The target survived three power cuts. It is important to understand if this is something temporary due to shutdown work or if we risk having this fault again during the next run.
b. HRS magnet control software blocked again. Tim is looking inot this problem.
c. It is impossible for the EICs to assure the same service level during shutdown as during the run. There are many additional tasks and tasks that have been postponed to the shutdown to get through for each EIC.
a. The separator courses this year will take place in December starting on Monday 2 December.
b. The CERN site committee has approved the plans for an extension of the ISOLDE hall and for a class A laboratory. Now it ONLY remains to find the money for these extensions.
c. A new transformer is needed for ISOLDE to cope with the planned extensions
d. The consolidation work is progressing well but the section would need some advice on instrumentation. GJF offered to help.
e. TIS reminds us that any recovered equipment from the experimental hall MUST be check for possible activation or contamination before it is used elsewhere.
f. If anyone sees a need for moving either of the separator magnets during the shutdown please contact Sven de Man.
